Main Problems of Pakistan: Challenges and Solutions for a Brighter Future

Main Problems of Pakistan

Historical Context and Initial Challenges

When Pakistan was established in 1947, the nation was immediately confronted with a multitude of challenges. The newly formed country lacked well-established institutions, and the government machinery was nearly nonexistent. The uneven distribution of resources between Pakistan and India by the British government left Pakistan with an urgent need for self-reliance. This lack of basic infrastructure in various fields meant that Pakistan began its journey with numerous inherited problems.

Ongoing National Struggles

Despite continuous efforts, Pakistan still faces significant challenges that impede its progress. The most pressing issues include:

  1. Poverty
  2. Illiteracy
  3. Energy Crisis
  4. Corruption and Political Instability
  5. International Interference and Terrorism
  6. Overpopulation
  7. Inflation
  8. Unemployment
  9. Economic Crisis

Poverty and Illiteracy

Poverty and illiteracy are global issues that require targeted efforts to address. The government needs to formulate effective policies aimed at poverty alleviation, such as creating job opportunities and encouraging small enterprises. Illiteracy persists due to insufficient resources for establishing schools and colleges. Addressing these issues demands a comprehensive approach that includes resource allocation and educational reforms.

Corruption and Political Instability

Corruption and political instability stem from governmental incompetence and dishonesty among those in power. Promoting moral and social ethics in society and implementing strict punishments for nepotism, corruption, and illegal favors can help eradicate these problems. Transparent governance and accountability are crucial for political stability.

Energy Crisis

The energy crisis is a major hurdle for Pakistan’s development. To resolve this, the government must invest in alternative energy sources and improve the efficiency of existing energy infrastructure. Implementing sustainable energy policies and encouraging private sector investment in energy projects can help mitigate this issue.

International Interference and Terrorism

Pakistan's geostrategic location makes it susceptible to international interference and terrorism. A comprehensive foreign policy is essential to mitigate foreign meddling. To combat terrorism, strict law enforcement is necessary, along with addressing the socioeconomic conditions that drive individuals towards terrorist activities.

Economic Challenges: Inflation, Unemployment, and Economic Crisis

Failures in economic policies have led to inflation, economic crises, and unemployment. The government should focus on improving agricultural setups, as agriculture is a primary contributor to Pakistan's economy. Reliance on loans from the IMF and World Bank has exacerbated economic instability. Sustainable economic policies and reducing dependence on foreign loans are crucial for long-term stability.

Collective Responsibility

Overcoming these problems requires collective effort and dedication from all citizens. Working with honesty and a focus on national interest is essential for the betterment of Pakistan. Each individual’s contribution can lead to significant progress in addressing these national issues.

By tackling these challenges with strategic planning and unified efforts, Pakistan can pave the way towards a more stable and prosperous future.

کلامِ اقبال------- آشنا اپنی حقیقت سے ہو اے دہقاں ذرا

Allama Iqbal

Fidel Castro - a unique phenomenon

Fidel Castro was an exemplary fighter and a leader. Steadfast and daring with a political mind. Adopting stricter measure to ensure pure communism rather than following slow progressive socialist ideas, that too in the vicinity of US, was his hallmark in the cold war era. Socially he changed Cuba but politically he took Cuba from one authoritarian state to the other. Ruling for nearly a half century and then transferring power to his brother, clearly shows he established a heirarchic regime which is not an attribute of a communist idea. Taking control of the country and aligning with USSR, enforcing land reforms, suppressing opposition, executing rivals and denying freedom of media, were the factors which helped him strengthen his power. At a poiny in historg he almost wiped out private ownership from the country. Something which even the bigger communist states were unable to achieve. That sealed his authority to a larger extent. The progressive liberals in our country who idealize him and others like Che, must also learn that these figures were not perfect examples of socialist ideals as they had many drawbacks in ways of ruling, in providing human rights etc. Those of their followers who advocate for non-violence must also understand that such rulers ruled with iron hands. Killing, exiling, jailing and captivating people who opposed them. So everyone must understand that existential communism in the world is as flawed as capitalism. Not to make ideals so quickly guys.

PEACE OF MIND AND SOUL

In the midst of chaos, in which the world have always been. Bad things happening daily. Everyone in an endless struggle for a better life. stress, depression, sleeplessness, diseases and what not. Human beings suffers even if he/she is not aware of the sufferings. Why let the material things in the world take your happiness out and keep you in a state of stress always?? Why not take some time out for yourself?? Why so serious??

Hard work, struggle, planning, etc are good. Yes to have a good life we need to put a tremendous amount of effort. But that does not mean that you forget you had a life, in first place. Take a break!!! take a break from everything you have been doing. Be it the job, the social circle, the news, the books, the internet, the television, facebook, twitter, instagram, snapchat, everything. empty your mind. Let it relax as it might not have relaxed in the last 15- 20 years maybe. clear you head. focus on the purpose of you being in this world.. Were you created to be a part of a multi-national company and give your life to it so that they make a profit?? Were you sent to this world to produce children and raising it?? Were you made so that your whole life you try to keep pleasing people irrespective of the fact that how much pissed off you are from inside??

Thin, think and think. the answers will be a big NO for each. So, think of something you had forgotten in the last few years. think of the one who created you.. Yes Allah Almighty. Bow before him and thank him for what you have which others do not have. He will bless you with such a peace of mind that you had never imagined to have got in movies, parties, games, etc. Make a habit to bow before him and notice how things change in your life. He never stops blessing you even if you do not pray to him, for he loves you 70 times more than your mother, 70 TIMES!!!... and he expects you, the spoiled child, to come back to him any moment. Let that moment be now and go to him. Thank him and ask more from him. He will give whatever you want. JUMMAH MUBARAK
